Welcome to hamilton1883.com.
Since 1883 our family has been crafting America's finest shirts. Each is made in our Houston workshop where we oversee all aspects of design and construction. Every Hamilton shirt is hand cut according to a paper pattern using only Italian and Swiss fabrics. Passed down through four generations of family, Hamilton shirts are more than our product, they're our legacy.
Some might say we're stuck in our ways—but they'd be wrong to say we're stuck in the past. While we'll never compromise on our exacting ethos—that clothes should fit, that fabrics should breathe, and that men should look like, well, men—we're always looking to innovate for our customers. Long known for our bespoke custom shirts available exclusively at America's finest retailers, we are now also offering made-to-measure custom shirts online. The primary difference between bespoke and made-to-measure is the level of custom fit.
Made-to-measure shirts are available online in any combination of collar size, body size and sleeve length, while bespoke shirts are cut according to a unique, personal pattern that is drafted after a fitting at a retailer. Made-to-measure isn't the only thing that's new at Hamilton. We also recently launched a line of ready-to-wear sport shirts available in sizes small thru XL. Called Hamilton 1883, the line references the year of our founding—and recasts some of our more historic designs in timeless, new forms. Like all Hamilton shirts, 1883 shirts are hand cut and sewn in our Houston workshop. To create a more relaxed feel for 1883, we use less interlinings and pre-wash the shirts. All 1883 shirts are cut trim and designed to be worn tucked in or out.
