Lonny (an online interior design magazine) visits Houston for the 25th anniversary of the Menil Collection with a rare look at the Menil family residence. Now owned and maintained by the museum (but closed to the public) the home designed by Philip Johnson in 1948 along with interior decoration by fashion designer Charles James, brought a modern family home to Houston unlike anything seen before. The minimal architecture combined with the unexpected less modern furnishings and incredible artwork make these photos a must see. A preview below, but check out the full story here.
